Lake Shore Electric's VB Series Transfer Switch utilizes medium voltage vacuum breakers for manual and automatic operation. All vacuum breaker type transfer switches are protected by a mechanical and/or electrical interlock to prevent accidental paralleling of the sources in an open transition configuration. This series is available in open or closed transition, with ampacities ranging from 600 through 2500 amps, and nominal voltages of 5/15/27/38kV. Configurations are also available for service entrance.

Lake Shore Electric's IC Series Automatic Transfer Switches utilize industry proven insulated case switches to perform safe transfers under load, while also providing a high level of coordination with optional electronic trip units. All switches are protected by a mechanical interlock to prevent accidental paralleling of the sources. With ampacities ranging from 800A – 5000A’s, the IC Automatic Transfer Switch is available in a variety of configurations including open and closed transition, fixed or draw out breakers, and interrupting ratings starting at 65kAIC @480Vac. Configurations are also available in UL Listed service entrance rated and Bypass/Isolation designs.

Lake Shore Electric's FP Series Automatic Transfer Switch is designed to meet the UL 1008 and NFPA 20 requirements for use in a fire pump feed application. The transfer switch comes standard with the NFPA 20 required isolation switch ahead of the emergency source switch, along with the required audible and auxiliary contacts for switch position. The isolation switch is capable of being locked in the open or closed position. All fire pump transfer switches are designed with the MP 7650 Controller and industry proven molded case switches to perform safe transfers under load.
